Insurance Information

Insurance can only be used for Individual Therapy. Ketamine dosing sessions are private pay.

I am in network with Aetna and use a 3rd party billing service (Alma) to process claims. You will provide Alma with your insurance information and keep a payment method on file also with Alma. They will process your copay after each session.

I can provide you a superbill if you have out of network benefits and want to file for reimbursement. See the FAQ below about the risks/benefits of filing out of network (OON).

Frequently Asked Questions

  • If you have out of network benefits (OON), I can give you a superbill that you submit to your insurance each month. They may reimburse you for a portion of my full rate. You are responsible for finding out if you have OON benefits.

Using OON benefits means that I must provide you with a mental health diagnosis, that your insurance may request additional documentation, and they can deny your claims. It is important to know these risks before filing.

  • I hold a certain number of sliding scale slots in my case load to keep therapy accessible. If I have an opening for sliding scale, you will determine your rate using an equitable fee setting method.

  • Tier 1 -- Full Rate | $175

This tier is for you if most of these apply:

    • You are employed full-time or have a stable, consistent income source

    • You have savings or an emergency fund you could draw on if needed

    • You own property or have significant financial assets

    • You can afford vacations, dining out, or other discretionary spending without stress

    • Your employer offers benefits such as health insurance, paid leave, or an HSA/FSA

    • You have an out-of-network benefits plan that partially reimburses therapy costs

    • Supporting your mental health financially does not require you to sacrifice other needs

    Tier 2 -- Standard Rate | $130

This tier is for you if most of these apply:

    • You are employed but your income is inconsistent, part-time, or contract-based

    • You are meeting your monthly expenses but have little left over after bills

    • You have minimal savings and would feel the strain of an unexpected expense

    • You carry some debt (student loans, credit cards) that limits your financial flexibility

    • You do not have employer-sponsored benefits, or your benefits are limited

    • Therapy is a priority for you but requires some budgeting and sacrifice of other spending

    • You may be supporting dependents on a single or modest household income

    Tier 3 -- Community Rate | $85

This tier is for you if most of these apply:

    • You are unemployed, underemployed, or between jobs

    • You are a full-time student with limited or no independent income

    • You rely on government assistance, disability income, or similar support

    • You are experiencing a financial crisis or significant hardship

    • Your monthly expenses regularly meet or exceed your income

    • You carry high debt relative to your income with no clear path to paying it down

    • You are supporting others (children, family members) on a very limited income

    • Affording therapy at a higher rate would mean going without something essential

These tiers are built on trust. You know your financial situation better than I do, and no documentation will ever be asked of you. If you are unsure which tier fits, choose the one that allows you to show up consistently without financial stress -- that consistency is what makes therapy work.

  • I work a hybrid schedule and offer both in person and virtual sessions. My office is at the Humanly building on Clairemont Rd. in Decatur, GA. We will discuss my availability in our consultation call.

  • You can cancel your session in the client portal, by email, or text. A 24-hour advance cancellation notice is required for any reason in order to avoid being charged the late-cancellation fee. Obviously life happens; the fee is ALWAYS waived the first time.
